
The Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Office of the Provincial Cooperatives Development Officer (OPCDO) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cavite officially opened the OTOP Next Gen Trade Fair and Exhibit 2025 on October 6, at SM City DasmariΓ±as.
With the theme βShowcasing Cavite’s Homegrown Excellence,β the event aims to promote and support locally made products developed by CaviteΓ±o entrepreneurs under the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Philippines program. The trade fair serves as a platform for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to expand their market reach and highlight their craftsmanship and innovation.
The program began with the invocation, national anthem, and acknowledgment of guests and exhibitors, followed by a welcome message from Ms. Rebecca Tarasona, Division Chief of DTI Cavite. Mr. Charles Yap, Assistant Mall Manager of SM City DasmariΓ±as, and Vice Mayor Third Barzaga, also delivered their messages of support, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in uplifting local industries.
An inspirational message was shared by Gov. Francisco Gabriel βAbengβ D. Remulla who encouraged continuous innovation and resilience among local entrepreneurs. The program concluded with words of encouragement from Mr. Carlos H. Legaspi, LEDIPO/Livelihood Office Head of the City of DasmariΓ±as, before the much-awaited ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opened the trade fair.
The OTOP Next Gen Trade Fair and Exhibit 2025 stands as a testament to Cavite’s strong entrepreneurial spirit and its collective effort toward promoting sustainable local development. (CPIO)
