The Cavite Provincial Jail (CPJ) celebrated its 67th Founding Anniversary on September 5, 2025, at the CPJ Compound in Trece Martires City. The event marked over six decades of dedicated public service, employee recognition, institutional growth, and commitment to the rehabilitation and preparation for the eventual reintegration of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) into the mainstream of society.
The program was graced by 2nd District Board Member Alde Pagulayan, Chairperson of the Committee on Public Safety, who served as guest speaker. In his message, Board Member Pagulayan lauded the unwavering commitment of CPJ officers and personnel in maintaining discipline, ensuring security, and upholding the dignity of persons deprived of liberty under their care. He also underscored the importance of unity, discipline, and professionalism in sustaining CPJ’s mission of service.
Mr. Noel Alegre presented the organization’s accomplishments, showcasing the milestones achieved over the past year, including operational improvements, strengthened inmate rehabilitation programs, and initiatives for employee welfare. His report emphasized the agency’s resilience and commitment to continuous service despite various challenges.
Looking ahead, Provincial Warden Candelario Warllie Hermo laid out the plans for 2026, focusing on modernizing facilities, enhancing rehabilitation and livelihood programs for PDLs, and improving employee training and development. He stressed that these plans aim to further professionalize the service and ensure that CPJ remains responsive to the needs of both the community and the PDLs under its care.
A highlight of the celebration was the awarding ceremony, which honored loyalty awardees for their years of dedicated service and recognized outstanding employees through the performance awards. The recognition not only celebrated their individual contributions but also served as an inspiration for the entire workforce to continue striving for excellence.
To add joy to the occasion, recreational activities and games were organized for employees, fostering camaraderie and team spirit among the personnel. The lighthearted activities provided an opportunity to strengthen workplace bonds and reinforce the value of teamwork in achieving organizational goals.
