The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna Provincial Office, through Negosyo Center Calamba City, in partnership with the Cooperatives and Livelihood Development Department (CLDD) Calamba, successfully conducted the seminar “How to Start a Business & Business Plan Preparation” at the CLDD Training Center, Mercado de Calamba, Brgy. 5, Calamba City, Laguna.
The activity gathered aspiring entrepreneurs, start-ups, and existing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) who are determined to start, grow, and sustain their businesses. The seminar aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and essential tools to confidently navigate the entrepreneurial journey.
Participants gained valuable insights on identifying profitable and viable business ideas based on market demand and available resources. Discussions covered key topics such as determining capital requirements, computing costs and pricing strategies, understanding target markets, and complying with business registration and legal requirements. A key highlight of the seminar was the step-by-step guide in preparing a practical business plan—equipping participants with a clear roadmap for operations, financial planning, and long-term growth. The session also boosted their confidence and readiness to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.
Through continuous collaboration, DTI Laguna and CLDD Calamba reaffirm their commitment to delivering accessible and relevant business development services. By empowering more Calambeños with the right knowledge and skills, this initiative supports the creation of sustainable businesses and contributes to the City’s economic progress.
