These drivers, who received PhP 5,000 each, are from the cities of Bacoor and Imus in Cavite, Antipolo City in Rizal, and Lucena City in Quezon.
Since the start of the distribution last April 8, 2026, the DSWD has reached a total of 32,305 tricycle drivers in 13 cities in the region.
The cash relief assistance, implemented by the DSWD under its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations, provides financial aid to affected drivers of public utility vehicles (PUV) by the increasing cost of petroleum in the market.
In the succeeding days of April, the Field Office targets to distribute cash relief assistance to more tricycle drivers and other PUV drivers in all localities in the region.
Affected PUV drivers are advised to coordinate with their respective associations and local government units for the schedule of their payout.
