CAVITE, Philippines – The Department of Trade and Industry IV-A CALABARZON facilitated a coffee farm tour for the judges of the Philippine Coffee Quality Competition (PCQC) Judges on June 4, 2026, in Cavite Province.
The activity aimed to provide the judges with a deeper appreciation of Cavite’s coffee industry by showcasing selected coffee institution and enterprises through presentations on their history, operations, and best practices, followed by guided visits to their facilities.
Among the sites visited during the tour were Gourmet Farms in Silang, the National Coffee Research, Development and Extension Center (NCRDEC) at Cavite State University Main Campus, and Wit and Joy Coffee Farm in Indang, Cavite.
Joining the activity were DTI CALABARZON representatives SupTIDS Mary Ann Mada and Admin Aide VI Noriel Katigbak, together with DTI Cavite representatives OIC Division Chief Julita C. Salvacion and TIDS Mikaela Jane P. Bartolome.
Through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, the tour further promoted appreciation for the efforts of Cavite’s coffee stakeholders in advancing the province’s coffee industry.
